 Overview 

About 15 hectares canyon created by lava of the eruption of Mt. Aso is filled with 50,000 azalea trees (of Miyama Kirishima).
This azalea garden is located 900m hight land of the northern part of Mt. Aso Nakadake and Mt. Takadake.

Contrast between pink flowers and green canyon is beautiful

※1 hectare=10,000㎡(100m×100m)
 



 History 

"Sensuikyo (Intoxicated saint)" was named after the legend; one saint intoxicated by the beauty of alzaleas of this place.
 
Miyama Kirishima (unique and rare speices) will be in full bloom and cover the mountain.
It takes few decades to grow 1cm due to the trank grow against wind and snow.



 Highlight 

Contrast between beautiful flowers, Mt. Aso, and Kuju mountains is magnificent and must-see.
